Boys Golf One of Seven Fall Varsity Teams Earn the IHSA Team Academic Achievement Award

The Williamsville CUSD 15 Athletic Department is proud to announce, that the Bullets Boys Golf team is one of seven varsity teams from the 2023 Fall season to have been awarded the IHSA Team Academic Achievement Award. In order to be eligible for this award, a team must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. The overall GPA for the department for the season was 3.74, which was an increase from 3.62 in 2022.

The bar has always been set high at Williamsville High School in terms of success for both academics and athletics. We are proud that this group of student athletes has carried on this tradition of excellence both on the field of play and in the classroom.

Boys Golf: 3.43

Boys Soccer: 3.65

Boys Cross Country: 3.82

Volleyball: 3.89

Two Bullet Golfers Advance to the Final Day of the IHSA State Tournament

The Bullet Golf Team saw two players advance to the final day of the 2023 IHSA State Tournament after making the cut on day one; senior Will Seman and freshman Max Fisher. Will finished with an overall score of 151 (76 and 75) and tied for ninth overall and Max finished with an overall score of 168 (85 and 833 and tied for sixty ninth overall; both in class 2A.

Bullets Capture 2023 Sangamo Conference Title

The Williamsville High School Boys Golf team captured the 2023 Sangamo Conference Championship on Wednesday, September 20 at The Rail in Springfield. The Bullets had an overall team score of 304 and were led by senior Leo Keebler, who finished first overall with a score of 72. Senior Will Seman finished second (74), Cole Brewer finished fifth (78), and Max Fisher finished seventh (80) to earn medalist honors as well. 

This was the Bullets second Sangamo Conference championship in the last three seasons.

Tryout Information for the 2023 High School Boys' Golf Team

Tryouts for the 2023 Williamsville High School Boys’ Golf Team will take place on both Monday, August 7 and Tuesday, August 8 at 6:30 am at The Rail Golf Course.


All players must have a current physical within the last year and complete the athletic registration process online, or they WILL NOT be able to participate in tryouts. You can access the athletic registration document at the following link: 23-24 Athletic Registration Form


If a player received an UPDATED PHYSICAL over the summer, they must bring a copy on the first day of try-outs and send a copy to Jennie Wagoner at wagoner@wcusd15.org.

Open Golf Opportunities throughout the Summer for Students Interested in High School Boys Golf

Throughout the Summer, Williamsville High School students who are interested in participating in Boys' Golf for the 2023 season, have access to a Summer membership package at The Rail. This includes golf (without a cart) and use of the driving range and putting green. This membership is made possible through a donation from the Williamsville Sports Boosters.
